Event Series Coinciding With: Notes for an Open Score Elyse Mallouk Solo Show
Organized by Joyce Grimm and Braegan Carroll & Tom Comitta

Sunday is for Lovers
A coinciding Event Series “Sunday is for Lovers” took place in the gallery on November 7, 14 & 21 from 2-7pm. Live music and poetry readings revolved around the theme of LOVE. It was open to the public and people were invited come visit, stay the entire day or wander in for a bit. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thank you to all who attended! This series supported Elyse Mallouk’s exhibition, Notes for an Open Score which is an experiment in the limits of sentimental expression. Using video, sculpture, text, and drawings, Mallouk has reduced romance novels and pop love songs to their most basic elements: words, rhythm, tempo and intonation, so that their sentiment is made to bleed, silent and be suspended.
