Elaine Buckholtz: Wandering Night House

Wandering Night House
Performance by Elaine Buckholtz
December 18th & 19th, 2009

Presented in conjunction with 24th Street Promenade and Art in Storefronts, artist Elaine Buckholtz has created Wandering Night House, a two-night only performance. A portable light cart will wander the 24th Street corridor, dousing street facades with subtle light projections. Viewers are invited to meet at Triple Base at dusk (5pm) and follow the cart on its journey.

Elaine Buckholtz has worked as a lighting and visual designer in the Bay Area for 20 years; she has also worked with Merce Cunningham and Meredith Monk. Her most recent work utilizes video and light in relation to sculptural forms, digital prints, and preexisting sites in architecture and nature. Buckholtz holds MFA degrees from California College of the Arts, San Francisco, and Stanford University.
