Coming Into the Country
This current body of work concerns the process of knowing a place. it is sharing that beloved place with
others. Cultivating the inward experience outward and the expansive intimate. It is listening
quietly and singing without restraint. It is 40 acres of shale, granite, and clay, oak and madrone,
wildflowers and native grasses. It is nest-making, and baby deer, and the way the sun gently
lifts the morning fog- and in walking, discovering ever anew what was always and will never be there.
The experience of change and interconnectedness. Letting go and coming in.
